The founder, Blake Mycoskie befriended children in a village in Argentina when he visited and found that they had no shoes to protect their feet and thus came up with this admirable idea. They do this by recognizing communities that need shoes and provide for the children in other to protect their health.
TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need with every pair of TOMS purchased- they come in various and fashionable colors and designs.

The owner, Barbara Beryl is a renowned talent scout in the fashion world and, after managing the footwear family shop—La vetrina di Beryl in Milan—she opened her personal space. SSEKO SAY-KO -This brand was created to help bright young women in Uganda continue their education. The Ugandan school system is designed with a nine-month gap between secondary school and university. These nine months are intended to allow time for students to earn money for tuition before continuing on to university. However, in an impoverished and male dominated society, many of these young women struggle to find fair work during this time.
Sseko Designs hires recent secondary school graduates for this 9 month period to live and work together, while earning money that will go directly towards their university education. These women will not make sandals forever. They will go on to be doctors, lawyers, politicians, writers and teachers that will bring change and unification to a country divided and ravished by a 22 year-long war.

SHOE 4 AFRICA -back in 1995 the founder, Toby Tanser, was training athletics in Kenya. Lost on foot in the Mara he discovered true charity and support from the Kenyan people. Leaving Kenya (shoeless) he was arrested as a vagrant, upon arriving in Sweden (in the snow). He discovered others too wished to help and give shoes.
Déc 1995 Shoe4Africa starts in Eldoret, Kenya. Operating by sending over shoes to Kenyan athletes.
HOW TO HELP THEM: Send a pair of running - running shoes prevent hookworm and promote a person to adopt a more healthy lifestyle – or sponsor a runner or buy a brick of the hospital they’re building or help them to renovate schools.
