TRENDS – ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABILITY – ACCOMODATION

Sleeping on a tree or sleeping in the rubbish ;-)  or under the ice is so sustainable!
Welcome to the world of FREE SPIRIT SPHERES, set among the tall trees of the west coast rainforest of Vancouver Island. Built on vision and engineering these handcrafted spheres are suspended like pendants from a web of rope. They occupy a truly unique place in the world while providing a habitat for the un-tamed spirit that exists in us all.

Created by the German artist Ha Schult the BEACH GARBAGE HOTELs (one in Rome and one in Madrid) were made from 12 tons of beach debris, the walls were covered with detritus deposited by the tide in Europe, waste found at dumps and items bought at flea markets.

Sweden’s ICE HOTEL is rebuilt every year, the ice and snow melts back into the river. Of course there is an environmental impact of building and running the hotel, so efforts to produce more renewable energy than is consumed are being made. The architects of the Ice Hotel have made a pledge to be CO2 negative by 2015.

TRENDS – ECOLOGICAL SUSTAINABILITY - FOOD

The new bo.bo prefers to eat good food and grown his garden on the terrace. Let’s seed:
Garlic- January/February
Carrots, basil, parsley, radish in March
Lettuce and rocket in April

You love this idea and do you want to spread it? It’s easy with the business cards with seeds: funny and ecologic!
-the business card is part seed paper, part paper. The person who will receive your b.c. will tear off the seed paper part and will plant it in his new garden on the terrace, then he will use the remaining portion of the card with your details on one side and the flower/spice type on the back (source core77)-
You can suggest your Company to implant a homegrown garden and ORTID'AZIENDA will help you to do it. This NGO (not governmental organization) has the social purposes to:
-      spread the ecological culture,
-      create a “team building” experience for the employees (who, first of all, are people not only workers)
-      requalification of marginal, peripheral and post-industrial areas
-      suggest healthy way to spend time
