during the Carnival. If you visit in the daytime, you can tour the Samba Factory and see where the floats and costumes are made and, at night, go to the weekly Carnival show , on during part of the year (schedules vary). The ticket includes a buffet dinner and participation in a Carnival parade at Cidade do Samba

PEDRA DO SAL - is an historical and religious site in Rio de Janeiro, in the neighborhood of Saúde. Every Monday and Friday evening a Samba party takes place: the atmosphere is casual and reflects the Carioca spirit. You don´t have to pay anything, just come with a beer and find a little space to join the samba.
